Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Cytific Labs ("we", "us") about using the Topos app. By installing or using Topos you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

1. Using Topos

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Topos on Android devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of Google Play. Please do not copy, resell or redistribute the app, try to take it apart beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the law or anyone's rights.

2. Your content

Your measurements, projects, notes and reports belong to you and are stored on your phone. You are responsible for what you create, export and share, including names and details you add to reports.

3. Pro, rewarded passes and ads

• Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play, not a subscription. Google Play handles payment, and refunds follow Google Play's refund policies.
• Rewarded passes: watching an optional ad can give temporary access to Pro features or a number of Magic Selects. They expire and have no cash value.
• Ads: the free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Pro removes them.
• We may change which features are free or Pro in later versions; what you already bought stays unlocked.

4. Maps and map data

Google Maps. Topos includes Google Maps features and content. Use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. If you do not follow those terms, we may suspend or end your use of Google Maps features in Topos.

OpenStreetMap and others. Where Google Maps is not available, and for Magic Select's outline suggestions, Topos uses map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (available under the Open Database License) and free map tiles and satellite imagery from third-party providers, each credited on the map in the app. Their terms and credits apply to that content.

Map services are run by others and can be unavailable, out of date or inaccurate. Outlines suggested by Magic Select come from public map data and may not match legal boundaries.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not copy, download in bulk, store or extract map images or data from the map services through Topos.
• Do not use Topos in ways that overload, attack or interfere with the app or the services it uses.
• Do not present Topos results as official records, legal measurements or surveys.

6. No warranty

Topos is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not guarantee results from third-party services.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Cytific Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for decisions made using estimates from the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for Pro. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

8. Changes and ending

We may update the app and these terms. When the terms change, we update the date at the top; continuing to use Topos after that means you accept the new terms. You can stop using Topos at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop offering the app or a feature, but not by taking away Pro you have already bought while the app remains available.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction, except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim there.
